A big benefit of variable frequency drives (VFDs) – at least where water system professionals are concerned – is how they offer an array of monitoring and troubleshooting solutions. That’s why installing VFDs correctly is so important.

  1. Read the manual before you start: especially the safety tips
  2. Select the right drive for the application
  3. Avoid electronic interference with proper ground connections
  4. Choose the right wiring size for input & output
  5. Make sure the motor rotation is correct
  6. Use the right pressure sensor
  7. Set the overload
