VR SpecPAK Pressure Boosting System
The VR SpecPAK™ is a pre-engineered booster system that uses Franklin Electric VR Series vertical multistage pumps, an integrated PLC controller, a user-friendly HMI screen, and Cerus X-Drives to intelligently increase water pressure while maintaining a constant, reliable output.

Overview
Flexible Design With Your Needs in Mind
- Vertical Multi-Stage Pumps (VR Series): Constructed with all 316 stainless steel wetted components for superior durability, efficiency and performance over a wide variety of applications (optional for 30VR and above).
- Available in 2 to 4 pump system configurations.
- Operation range up to 2400 gpm & 400 psi of boost pressure.
- Motor mounting with oversized thrust bearing ensures long operating life; a special heavy-duty motor bearing is not required for easier maintenance and repair.
- NEMA premium efficiency TEFC motors with inverter duty rating.
- Electrical Panel: Includes main and individual drive disconnects that allow remaining pumps to stay operational; NEMA 1 & UL508A listed.
- Manifolds: Fully supported 316 stainless steel grooved-end suction and discharge manifolds.
- Frame: Welded steel frame with integrated fork slots and reduced footprint.
Added Protection
The VR SpecPAK is ASHRAE 90.1-2010 compliant and is designed with the following components for added protection:
- Franklin Electric Cerus X-Drive Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs)
- Includes three transducers for complete monitoring: 1 suction and 2 discharge (primary + backup)
- Pump thermal relief valves
- Silent check valves
- 316 stainless steel internals, glycerine-filled pressure gauges (2.5" dial)
NEW SpecPAK Intuitive User Interface:
- 7-inch color-touchscreen, programmable Logic Control (PLC) allows for system control without opening the panel
- Modbus allowing for remote monitoring and control
- Operators can instantly view system status, monitor pressure, and adjust settings with ease
- Lead/lag or parallel pump operation can be easily selected through system settings
- Fused branch disconnects allow offline pump to receive maintenance while remaining pumps stay online
- Field programmable to allow for firmware updates
